Palliser, and south of 1 Okstlepoinl; She went ashore [about l% a.m. on "Sunday." * : Tn answer, to a question a's^to whether there visa anythingvfurther to be com- j niunicated, following reply was received, purporting to borne from oho of ttie* crew :-—" Why don't you scud a steamer V We give the item, which came from/ a respectable source for what it is worth, and can only sincerly hope that the officers and passengers will be b^ere : this morning to laugh heartily over the'" uncanny" communication. [It may be stated that the steamer was then overdue.
