Bunuythorpe. — The committee wrote objecting to the name Aorangi, as it would increase tho difficulties m the way of addresaev&c. Tbe committee requested either that the name of Central Taouui be applied, or the name ot Bunuythorpe be continued.— Request not granted, the committee to l)ft informed that care would be taken m addressing tho correspondence, Palinerxton. -The committee wrote approving of Miss Patterson's appointment. They also draw attention to the state of the boys urinal, and asked tor a vote of £5 for that purpose. - Mr San.«on s»id that they had had more than almost any other school for improvements, — Request not granted ; Board not m funds. Inspector's Report. — After the reading of Mr Bindon's report Mr Sanson moved, That this board deeply regret the failure of nearly two-thirds of the pupil teachers at the late examination; and m the opinion of the board the teachers have not given that time and ./ attention to instructing their pupil teachers which the board's regulations ' require of them. After considerable debate the motion was carried. Payment for Instructing Pupil Teachers. — Mr Bridge moved, and Mr Baker seconded, That, m accordance with regulation 67, no payment be made for the past six months for '. instructing pupil teachers who havenot passed the last examination. — On a division the motion was lost.
