The mother, Fanuy Boddington, a girl of sixteen, remains m custody m the hospital. She admitted to her employer the parentage of the infant, and that she put it down the closet. Chhistchubch, June 5. The New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association held their annual meettug this afternoon, Mr Peryman m the chair. The report showed that there were 1212 shareholders, holding 5610 s]iares. The wine and spirit business has been discontinued ; 7 per cent divided declared. The profit and ioss account showed receipts, including discount on cash payments and balance from last year, £3975 ; balance available for appropriation, £878 16s sd. A gas explosion took place at the premises of F. H. Lewisson, jeweller, through a rat ku awing thb lead gas-pipe. Little damage was done.
