9 XTBUaI monthly meeting of the Manchester Road Board held at the Board's office, Feilding, on Saturday, July stli, at 2 p.m. Wardens j»resent: Messrs Macarthtir (chairman), Leth bridge, Bailey, Jones, and Linton. Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Letter from Halcombe Local Board, asking the Board to assist them to make a foot-bridge m Pearce street, at Halcombe. Letter from the manager of the Bank of Australasia, re overdraft. Letter from P. Hannegan, asking the Board to pay him for felling the bush along the boundary of his section on the road line fronting Section 85, Scandinavin settlement. .Resolved — That the. Board having no funds available at pre&eut cannot* as-sist the Halcombe Local Board, but will give them the old timber at the Rangitawa bridge. Resolved — Tbat P. Hnnnegan's request be granted, on the usual terms, i.e., 30s per acre, and to wait twelve months for the money. Accounts amounting to L 785 10s 5d were passed for payment. The Board then adjourned.
