Wellington Produce , markets.
Wellington, Wednesday Afternoon. Laery and Campbell report that businesß during the week has been steady if not brilliant. In grain we may quote that oats are a little easier, the demand is fair, and for a bright, heavy short oat 2s 6d could be obtained, There are no transactions m milling wheat to report; clrick wheat and barley are very plentiful, aud the former is worth about 2s6d to 3s 3d, tho latter 2s 6ds potatoes are without alteration, and worth about 55s to 60s m ships slings. Onions are now getting scarce, and should be £7 10s to £8 per ton. There is no demand for salt butter, as it is very hard to get really prime samples fit for shipping. Cheese is plentiful, and worth about sd* perlb. Flour is easier, und may be quoted m Hues at £9 10s to £10 ; bran £4 10s j pollard, £5 ; maize is unquotl able, as it is beginning to come forward slowly, and will m consequence drop m value, fruit of all kinds is getting very scarce, and prices are much higher and firmer. '
