Major Atkinson nuned the adjournment of the debate. Messrs Macandrew and Seddon opposed urging an immediate division. On a .division the motion for adjournment was lost to 37 to 88. The House then divided on Mr Steward's amendment which ■was carried by 9.S Mr : Suttott then' moved "a further amendment' asking the Governor to dissolve the Hotiffe; Mr Whitaker seconded. Mr Bollestpn questioned whether such .a motion was constitutional. After some discussion the debate vras adjourned to .7.30 this evening; :
