Such an -institution cannot fail to le productive of beneficial cf T fects on the young men of the district, and directly, n» well as indirectly, on society m general. As we referred at some length m a recent issue to the objects of this and kindred institu(ionx,iand pointed out the benefits certain to 'accrue through their instrumentality, we need "not now recapitulate those observations* We bah only hope the success which was characteristic of its inaugural meeting will be continuous, and make itself still more apparent as {time goes on.
