FOOTBALL.
[Rugby' Us ion.] I am sorry for trespassing on your space again, but a* our. local players require to be continually kept up to the mark, I should like to make a few remarks. The season is now well advaacing and members do not show the inclination to turn up to practices. As regularity and playing together are the great points m the success of a club, I should urge upon our members the necessity of constant practice and greater punctuality. The following; is the proposed team to do battle with Feilding on the 14th June, 1884 : — Full-back, Simmonds ; half-backs, Templar and Salmon; quarter-backs, F. Smith and Jackson ; forwards, Stallard, W. Mofiatt, Lynn, Htiultain, Sheerin, J. Moff.itt, G. Paltridge, Gr. Smith, Astbury, and Seeker. Emeigency — Ihle, Bush, Dtmgan, and llanlon. As there are only two Saturday afternoons lxfotv the match is played it is requested that every member will do his utmost to be on the ground regularly and punctually. As time is so short, practices have b'^en arranged for on Wednesday afternoons, on the ground opposite* the State School, from 4.30 o'clock.
