Spiritualism m Wellington.

[Post.] A well-attended meeting of ladies and gentlemen interested m the above subject took place m Ingesfcrestrect last Sunday, at 7.30 p.m. The meeting was opened by singing, and then a chapter from the New Testament was read, a second hymn was then sung. During the sinping of the second hymn one of the gentlemen who is a, good trance medium, was entranced, and delivered an invocation. During the trance condition he delivered a powerful address, the subject chosen by the controlling influence being Spiritualism m relation to Christianity. During the discourse it was clearly laid down that, the work of the former was not the pulling 1 down of the latter, but rather to build it up and break down materialism. After the address, which lasted 35 minutes, a number of deep theological questions were put, and answered m a very satisfactory mannei\ After the restoration of the medium to his normal condition, an organisation was formed, to be called the Wellington Spiritual Investigating Society. Nearly all present enrolled themselves as members, aud a meeting 1 will shortly be held to approve of rules to be observed m the formation of circles. The association will meet every Sunday evening, at i 7.30, when the trance addresses on various subjects will be given ; and private circles for thn development of meiJiumship will be held through the week. Several members of the association are well advanced both as physicial and trance mediums. [Communicated.]
