Wellington Produce Markets.
George Thomas reports produce prices as follows : — There is but little alteration to report m any line since laat week. Pollard has been actively enquired for, and prices have advanced to iJS 10s ; bran, m request at £4 5s to £4 10s ; oats still rule from 2s 6d to 2s 7d. A consignment of Adelaide flour is realising from £13 10s to £14 ; colonial brands, from £10 10s to £10 15s ; maize, very scarce at 4s 3d to 4s 6<i ; wheat, 3s lo 3s 3d ; barley, 2s 6<l to 2s 9d ; beans, 3s 9d ; peas, 3s 6d ; rye grass, 4s 6d ; cocksfoot, 5d ; oaten chaff, £5 ; wheatcn do, £4 to £4 10s. Derwent potatoes, fully supplied, at 555. Onions, steady demand, at £6 10s. Cheese, sd. Hams and bacon are quite out of the market until arrival of new cure. Salt butter is rather neglected, and buyers are hard to find at 9<J ; fresh sells well at lOd. Eggs, much wanted, 2s 3d ; fowls, 3s 6d ; ducks, 4s ; turkeys, 9a ; geese, dull at 7s.
