Thursday Morning. Laery and Campbell report .*— ' Fruit has arrived m such abundance of late that the finest only is sought after, but reallyfine fruit realised fair paying prices. In dairy produce there is very little coming to market ; eggs are scarcer than ever j poul.rv rules at about the same price, but the small quantity that hasxome to market has not been at all eagerly sought after J butter is decidedly easier; hams and bacon may be quoted at 8d to 10d ; cheese, 4|d per lb 5 oats, for light feed, 2s 4d to 2* 6d ; milling, 2s 8d to 2s 9d , wheat has been offering freely, but samples vary ao much, that it is almost impossible to quote— 2a 6d to 3s 6d fair samples would realise, very inferior is quite unsaleable ; maize, there is none ; p»as and beans are asked for, but rrtme coming forward ) potatoes are well supplied, and may be quoted at 609, sacks m; onions art quite unsaleable, but are nominally worth £6 to £7 per ton. Tho above quotations are, of course, for import lines with wharfage paid.
