A Pleasant Visit.
(VSTOXD PRESS ASSOCIATION .) J 'AncKLANii, April 23. The officers of the Tsukutk were enter* tamed at Kawau. by Fir George Grey. Among the amusements provided were deer stalking and wallaby shooting. Sir George gave the officers many curios, among them being a l»rgp number of Maori war implements of olden time's. A number of books were also given them, among these being several volumes of old ordinances ef New Zealand. Visits were made to ih« main land, and gun practice was also indulged. in, and a very pleasant time was passed, and, among the speeches made, CaDtain Ariji stated that a careful record would be kept, and op the termination of the vessel's commission an account would be given to the admiralty authori-ties,-and it would be published m one or more Japanese papers. All the visitors expressed themselves highly pleased with the hospitality and. attention shown to them, by the citizens of Auckland, and said their stay here would be one of the most pleasant incidents of the cruise. After calling off Wniwera, the Tsukuba sailed for Chili this evening.
