Stock Sales.
The attendance at, Messrs Stevens and Gorton's sale at Hulls on Tuesday was very fair. The bidding was not spirited. Cattle were "s^iveii away/ and there was very little detn aid even at the low figures which vendors were willing to take, £heep maintained ruling prices; several pens wore' parsed m at what was doomed' high reserves. A pen of pigs were passed m at 14s and 10s, large and small. A few ranis wore offered, arid sold at low prices. Several good hacks fetched fair values. Their next stock sale at A»vahuri will beheld on the twenty-second instant. The entries at present ' received are published m our advertising columns' Thty include beef, two and two-and-a-half-year-old steers, mixed cattle, weaners, cows, lambs m wool, fat wethers, breeding ewes, fat sheep, horses, etc.
