Mysterious Fire.

Nelson, April 15, The Motuoka correspondent of the Colonist telegraphs tlut an uninsured house at Riu, aka belonging to 3k£r. Holyoake was destroyed by fire last night. The house was nominally unoccupied, but a man named Covren, a stranger m the district, had taken up his abode therein. At 3 o'clock yesterday afterneon Cowen was seen boiling a billy of water and fasteuing up his swag prejwfcratory to leaving, and he afterwards extinguished the five with water. The fire, however, originated near where the man slept, and it is sai 1 that the man's actions appear suspie'oi us.
