Ashurst Stock Sale.
Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill'a inaugural stock sale at As hurst yesterday was fairly successful. The weather was hot- piopitious, but the attendance was large, and the yards were full. The bidding was nob as brisk as might have been desired, but we learnt, that nearly all the stock thnt were passed m, were sold privately nfter the sale at satisfactory rates. < n the whole the sale may be said to have been a sue- r cess. The auctioneer's detailed report ; will be published when it conies to hand. We presume periodical sales. at Asjmrst will now be recognized local institutions.
