—» , - .[Wacganui Ps.per.] The train from the South was delayed some hours last evening .by a break-; down of the engine on the train arriving at Wesboe. The full particu-j lars of the affair did not come to handin time for publication,; Jbut we uuders(and the engine was so disabled as to; be unfit to bring the train on to Wan-' ganui, and a special engine had to bo r sent out from Eastown for that purpose. As steam had to bfi got up before the .special could leaVe, and she did not get away till nearly, half-past 11, the poor belated passengers did not arrive m; town till half-past one this morning. We understand that Mr Maxwell, General Traffic Manager, was a passenger. ■
