As we feared, our parcel of supplements will not be to Land m time for distiibution wiih tins issue of the Standard. "We received a letter from the publishers last nighty m which they stale that the parcel was shipped by the Wairarapa which steamer should reach Wei lington to day, and' .^tliey should therefore be herein ample time for distribution with next Saturday's issue. The mails by that vessel' are already to han<l,but they are despatched by express train from Bluff to Lyttelton, thus reaching Wellington forty-; eight hours before the Melbourne steamer arrives. On next Saturday, therefore, our readers candepend upon theif supplement. , •■--.«
