William Henry Morgan, employed as a fireman on the railway works, Te Awaniutu, committed suicide yesterday under extraordinary circumstances. He was m the railway building during the afternoon. Taking, a muzzle-loading gun charged with powder and shot, he placed the ruuszle m his mouth and pulled the trigger with his toe. The skull was badly shattered, and death ingtantantaneous. Deceased, whowas a young man, is supposed to have committed th.o aa pt through jealousy, his sweetheart having gone to the railway employed picnic with another young man. His father, Robert Morgan, is lessee of the domain, and resides at Newmarket.
