Agitation m Taranaki. (UNITED PRESS ABSrCIA.TIOV.) New Plymouth, January 30. A largely attended meeting was held last night m the Town Hall for ihe purpose of forming a committee to co-operate with the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and the Hawera awl Patea Borough and County Councils for the purpose ot watching the interests of the Taranaki District m connection with the tiunk line of railway. Resolutions were passed, and the committee requested to urge on Govern--1 ment the necessity of securing the services of Mr Donkin, C.E., who knows the district thoroughly, as it would save both time and 'money m the exploration.
