Hoi Res: Activity has characterized ther market, and a good tnaiiy have cbanj^ed hands at prices showing an upward tendency as compared with the previous week. At the Durham Yards on •Friday, a large number were submitted by auction. Bidding was spirited throughout the sale, and almost without exception lots were cleared at prices, satisfactory. to vendoi's. We quote: Hacks, from £5 10s to £18 10s y medium .'droughts, from £15 10a to £25 ; heavy draught horses, L 29 lo : L 34. Wool, (hides, and skins : Hides tolerably plentiful, and sold at from 2£d to 3|d : skins, from Is to 3s 2d ; tallow; 27a Cd per cwt. There has been a good deal of animation ein the market ; the supply of fat stock has been large, but scarcelynthe, .usual number of daily and store were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, but thei'e was an unusual largo muster at Waiukiron . Saturday ;. prime beef maintained the previous week's values, but indifferently fatted wore a shadelower. There was no noteworthy alterations m the value of other descriptions. Sheep were m adequate number, and found corresponding demand.- : ;,^Lanibs sold at from Os 9d to 16s. Pigs: Scarce, and m demand ; goqd porkers .-selling at from 3d to 4dperlb.
