IMPOUNDING CASE.
' The case of Wicks v. S. George was being heard at the R.M. Court to-day. Mr Baker appeared for plaintiff and ,Mr Hawkins for defendant The matter m dispute was one of alleged illegal impounding of cattle, 'the defendant had impounded the plaintiff's cattle the latter paying the fees" under protest and then suing for their recovery. The case lasted the greater part of the day, but the evidence elicited no features. of special public interest,. It was still proceeding at we went to press.
