— soo: — A cable message lias been received by the Government from the AgentGeneral, stating that the whole amount of the second million loan at 4 percent, authorised by statute* has been taken up m London at various rates above par. The 600 tenders sent m amount m all to £5,070,000. Tenders at £105 5s 6d are to receive 54 per cent, of the amount they h.aye applied for, and no tenders have been accepted at anything under that price. The probable average will be £100 Bs. There were an enormous number of tenders, one tenderer alone applying for the whole amount.
