WASTE LANDS BOARD.
An ordinary meeting of the Land Board took place at Wellington on Thursday. It was attended by Messrs J. G. Holdsvrorth (Chairman)'' T. Maaon^ M.H.8., H. Bunny, and W. W. Taylor. It was reported that since the last meeting 182a ihrhad beeu sold,, the price realised being £273 15s. The Chairman mentioned that there was overdue on, the deferred payment section of Erasmus Kasinussen, Waipqkarau, a sum qf.£Bl, and it was resolved that unless this amount be paid within two months, the license should be cancelled. A letter was read from Mr C. S. Gattan, asking leave to withdraw his previous applica-" tionj that the Board would not consent the. transfer ofljjs soption to «|V Hurley. The request was granted, but it was pointed out that no transfer could be sanctioned until all arrears on the seqbion had been paid up to date. Mr Masou proposed that m future the Board should meet once a month instead of once a fortnight as at present. After some discussion, it wa3 thought advifeablo, m view of Mr Taylor's seat shortly becoming j-axsant, to postpone action m tho matter. The weetiijg then adjourned. I
