The rider was as follows : — ._!_'. T_he Jury desire to say that they found the morgue m a disgracefully dirty -condition, ■ containingt .an accumuhition of dirty rags, smeared with blood. In their opinion, proper provision should he made for a Coroner's Court, with a morgue attached." The coroner, Da Hbcken/iii endorsing the verdict, spoke of the injustice of always holding inquests m the hotel nearest the morgue, as the landlord did not receive the slighest remuneration, rle added that he had several times written to the .Uoyernmen.ton, t^e mat-teiy-and would do^a-'againl . ..L"L 'j.
