— ;oo: — This celebrated Scotch athlete is a fine specimen of an athlete of the pure; Scotch type as has ever "visited the colonies, anil when he appears m public m his Highland c^stumo, with his honours thick upon him, covering his whole chest and breast, he is certainly a striking specimen of physical power. Donald Dinnie was born at Ayoyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on the 10th pf July, 1837. He stands 6 feet 1 inch m Ms shoes, weighs m hestfonn 2201b5, measures around, the. chest. J&.anches, I'iceps IG£ inches, thighs 26£ inches, calf 17} inches. He first appeared iv the athletic arena when only sixteen years of age, then winning several prizes at feats of strength and agility, consequently has now been thirty years before the sporting" wjirld, during over twenty of which he has proved himself to be the best all round athlete the world ever saw.
