REV. FATHER CAREW.
Father Carew delivered his farewell address yesterday, there being very full congregation atjjeach service. He did not refer to his departure beyond briefly mentioning the fact. He has already created a very favourable im-' pression, and a general feeling of regret is expressed that he is about to leave. Father Carew would, have made a very useful clergyman m this district, as he! was very zealous and energetic, and discharged his : duties with an earnestness that imparted itself into the members of his congregation. On the whole he will be very much missed. The holy communion was administere 1 this morning, there being a considerable number of communicants. With Father Carew's congregations here and at Feilding, we shall at^all times be very pleaded to hear of his welfare m his new field of duty, which we believe is. Grey mouth, where we are sure his ! efforts m the cause of his sacred ministrations will meet with as universal recognition as they have received m this district. . We now, on I their and our own behalf, bid, him fare-' well.
