THE SCHOOL FETE.

This gathering passed oft' KiiccvSfc* fully, though towards evening several showers fell, which rather damped the spirits of the juveniles. On the whole, however, they appeared to enjoy themselves to the very utmost. There was also a considerable number of visitors, who were admitted on a nominal charge. Games of various kinds were kept going with vigour, also a number of athletic sports, in which several of the juvenile competitors showed considerable skill and agility. The weather until the evening was favourable, and a very enjoyable day's outing was spent by all present. The proceeds of the gate were to be devoted to the school funds.
