They object to a survey being carried On, apd; holdytheir "position by documents signed at Kuiti at a meeting held m 1881, m whioh the/land was assigned over to; Tawhiao. Mr B-^yce said the paper bn which these land's are handed over to Tawbiao, is so much waste paper, Mr Bryce adds, "My march is xm ward, and the sooner this is understood the better it will ba for the Maoris: I am speaking m your interest.*^ J
