Resolved to await course of procedure by Property Tax Department, and decide accordingly. Crown ' Land Office referred application for gravel reserve to- tfnder-Secre-tary of Crown Lands. I A deputation from Bunny thorpe was informed that the road would be seen to' as soon as possible after the late was stiruck. J. 0. Batehelor complained of his land being flooded through culverts being choked. His application to fall bush on roadHue was granted. iMr Russell, Rangitikei Line, requested payment of his claim oi £37 1(k Finally he agreed to wail till next instalment fell due next year. The Crown Lands Office declined to hand over results from sale of section 443, Palmerston, when sold. The Board were informed of steps to be taken with regard to the rating of Native Lands. Forms of certificates received for application for grant for £2,500 under Roads and Bridges Construction Act, to be made so soon as the provisions of tiie Act shall have been complied with, directions for guidance being enclosed. Certificates to be returned so soon as completed. • ;* With regard to rates dne "on Native Lands recently sold, bv>t on which no rates had been paid, it was decided to apply to those purchasers whose names were recently published m tiie Mana watu Standard. Re ranger for Taonni Riding, County Council had not appointed any, such I not being necessary. Crown Lands Office approve of appropriation of balance of £56 for roads m Kairanga' Block till next rate be struck.
