THE WOOL SALES.
(BY ELECXBIC TELEGRAPH. — COPYRIGHT.) • (BEUrBR's TELEGRAMS.) London, October 3. Consols have advanced 100£. New Zealand securities remain at yesterday's quotations. There is no change to report m colonial breadstuffs and tallow. •• . , The wool sales closed to-day. ~ The total quantity sold since opening of the series was 360,000 bales, 58,000 being he^d over. In greasy wools the decline suffered at the outset has since recovered, and there has been a good demand since. .... . . ,. New Zealand wools — Eleeces scoured coinbing wools, closed about a penny lower than the prices ruling at the close of the May and June series. Good and inferior scoured are Id to l^d lower-. Crossbreds are rather higher than the close of June sales."
