The Native Obstruction AT KAWHIA.
(BY TELEGRAPH.) .(UNITED PBEBS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, September 20. A telegram to the Star states that the Kawhia harbour beacons were polled' down and broken by the chiefs Tv Te Ao and Tihirahi, of the'Ngatimaniapoto tribe. The property and lives of the h'uropeati residents were threatened if they do not obey the man.ate. ate ot the Kauhau chiefs and leave Kawhia within a few days. The Maoris have given notice to this effect. The Ngati-Mabutu openly declare their intention of opposing a settlement at Kawhia, the r land being theirs. Ngaka.i, ' the King's 'adviser is supposed to have a fidger ia the matter.
