The grades; are everywhere moderate, the country "is Tioh, and the line can- be made at a minimum cost. It is a moral .certainty that the Marton or central route /will leave every other completely m the shade m the • matter ot natural advantages, and it is probable that notwithstanding the greater distance than by way ot Mokau, the total cost will nof be more.
