The Government are considering tfee' question of the establishment of a systiia' of Federal quarantine in faybr of wliich' resolutions were passed at a recent intercolonial conference. The owners of the i migrant ship Al« lanshaw, which arrived from London on May 2nd, have been fined £50Q for breach of immigration regulations; and the owners of the EUora wbich|arrived on Jane 11th, with, immigrants from Plymouth, have been sentenced to pay a u'ne of £250 for a similar offence.
