Gold at Ashburton.
(BY TELBTGBAPH.) (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION ) ASHBURTON, July 30. The MaiL has been shown some minature nuggets alleged to have been picked up near the mouth of the Ash* burton. The finder is a man of long stauding in the district, and the Mail places implicit confidence in his veracity. The excitement is increasing over the gold discovery at Alford Forest. Several quartz specimens wera exhibited on Saturday showing payable gold.
