(UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION".) Dunedin, This Day. A store m Heriob Row, occupied by Picket, was barned down last night. It was insured m Victoria office for £150. Nothing was saved. The fire was caused by the overturning of a kerosene lamp. - The Equitable Investment Coy. declared 10 per cent for half year. Alexander Aitken, 4^ years o'd, fell over a fence while playing, and sustained injuries, from which he died yesterday. Invercahgilii, This Day. On Thursday an infant son of Jas. McMillan, South Invercargill, was left m charge of his sister, aged 12, The girl lifted a pot of water off the fire, and when her back was turned her brother fell m, and was severely scalded, and died tonday. ~ Patba, This Day, Joseph Orozier, butcher, committed suicide at Manutahi yesterday. He was employed by Mr Whittem, and at 8.30 he was found m the shop with his throat cut, a butcher's knife covered with blood was lying beside him. No reason is yet assigned for tho deed, as deceased had not been drinking.
