Tantalizing to CREDITORS.
•'-■•' ♦', [Wanganni Herald. J -It is a r very unusual thing at a meeting of creditors to see any of the 'ml glittering gold or crisp notes laid before the eyes of creditors to make their hearts rejoice, and soften with the milk of human kindness towards tbe unfortunate debtor. Such a rare occurrence is it, indeed, that at the apetinsr of creditors m the estate of Frederick Hunt yesterday, one or two of the creditors (<eho by tho way have had considerable uolnppy experience) expressed the opinion that such a thing had never occurred before m Wanganni Such a soothing effect did it have, that after a very severe cross-examination, the creditors spoke m kindly terms to the gentleman who had brought them there, and even handed him back- aU his furniture. The debtor himself was m a very contrite mood. He was sorry for a gentleman whose goods he had re - ceived on the day be filed ; so^ry that he had no piano ; and soiry also that he had not a silv_«r watch. Presumably the sorrow on the two latter matters was. because he could add no morn to the joy of the creditors, which by th Way was very transient, when tbey afterwards considered that nearly all the cash before them must go to pay the solicitor and tru tee.
