An incident provecative of some mirth relieved the monotony of the business transacted at a resent meeting of the Wellington Early Olosin? Association. One of the most prominent members was dwelling at some length on the disadvantages under which drapers' assistants labour m Wellington, and, m the courae of his remarks, asserted that the atraoaphere waa so poisonous m many of the establish manta that most of those who had been engaged m tbe business fora few-yeirs became quite bald. No sooner had the words to that effect been uttered than up jumped a member whose shining paie gave unmistakeable proof that tbe top of his cranium had been deati'tu'e of hirahte growth for some time past.who exclaimed u,j » ? y ° Ur P ardon « s i r s I waa bom bald.
