(BY TELEGRAPH.) (XJNtTED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, This Day. Weather forecast for 24 hours from 9am today ;— Wind between Northeast and Northwest m both islands. Barometer falling at all places south of Napier and New Plymouth within 12 hours and later at all other places, heavy on westeau coast and between Castlepoinl and Kai koura. Warnings for northerly gales have been sent so all places south of Napier and Castlepoint. Synopsis of last 24 hours :^— Throughout the country the barometer has continued rising, the increase ex* ceediner half*an-inch at all places south of Kaikoura and Hokitika, and there have bftpn southerly winds on the eastern coast.
