Hodsrson for stealing £50u from the National Bank; Tohn Tyrrell, of! the Evening Star, Westport, for libel ; Joseph Busch, for wounding and maiming a horse ; and John Davidson, for ' the murder of Denis Quintan, at Lyell. Auckland, This Day. The cases against John Furcell and iJ. Mills, for obtaining money by false pretences, by selling casks of water for whisky, and brands to certain publicans were heard yesterday. Two cases were dismissed, and three adjoarned. The Magistrate held there was not sufficient evidence against Mills, and that the information against Purcell was laid under the wrong section of the Vagrant j Act. Christohurch, This Day.
