Wind, between east and north at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth ; and between north-east and north— west at all other places. Barometer, further rise generally; but fa 1 at all stations within 12 hours. Sea, moderate on Weßtern, bnt increase on Kastern Coast at places north of Lyttelton. Telegrams to expect strong northerly winds have been sent to places north of Thames and Manakau, and south of Lyttelton and Hokitika.
