McDonnell, dockkeeptr, has been presented by the Chairman of the Harbour Board with the Royal Humane Society's medal lor 6a?ing the life Henry Mitchell, while drowniDg m the harbour some time ago. The City Council intend, with other legacies under the Costley bequest j to memorialise the Government for the remission ot legacy duty, and also for the repeal of the clause m the Act requiring duty where legaciepj are lelt to public i&ititutiosi.j
