Shocking Affair.
, (Wanganui Ohroniole.) A few days ago there took place m this town an affray between two well known residents of Wanganui, the result of which waß of a character so dismasting that it is surprising that .no. legal proceeding have arisen out of it. One of the parties had his ear nearly bitten off by the other combatant, the services of a local dostor having been necessary to sew on the ; lobe j which hung by a more fibre.. It was generally believed that cannibalism among Euro* peans was extan^ but the iact seems otherwise. >: v =-.-. ;
