(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, May 5. An accident occurred on board the barque Rebecca Crowell. A heavy case slipped out of the slings and fell on a joung fman named Arnold, severely crushing his spine, resulting m paralysis of the whole of the left side. McKay, bad room steward of the Penguin, who was arrested on a charge of theft from a passenger named Adams, was discharged.
