The following is a list of some of the principal articles oi colonial produce and manufacture, together with their value, exported from the pore of Wellington to the United Kingdom, the colonies, and other countries daring the quarter ended March 31, 1883: — Ai?imals (borsep), L 3750 ; ba~on, LI 3; bark, L 23; beeswax, L 1 8; biscuiis, £22; bobe-dust,fL2l;l ; bnnes, L3BO j bran, LI 00 -"butter, El 163 ; cheese, LI 3 ; fungus, L 114 1; gold (bu'lion), LSo,ld? j grain : oats, L 309 ; do, peas, LI 51; do, whrat, L 46 0; hair, L55 ; hide?, L 565 ; hops, L21>71 ; horns, L 169 ; leather, L 1666 ; frozen meat beef, L 1772 ; do, mutton, L 10,355 ; meat, potted, L 12,11 3; salted beef, JL96 ; minerals, LllO ; oil, Ll2O ; oil cake, L 210; phormium tenax, L 7738 ; plants,. L6l ; rabbit- skins, L 2053 ; sbeepskius/ L 3733 ; skins, other kinds, L 37; tallow, L 33.673 } timber (dn'Sße<J), L 6330 ; do, L 2700 ; wool (greasy), L8i3,420 ; clo (so ured), L2C,593; do (washed), L 43.975 ; woodware, L 763 ; total, L 513,336. The value of exported goods not manufactured m the colony was L 1856. The above facts and figures aff.trd a subject for very congratulatory reflection.
