The Auckland whaleship Especulador has arrived at the Bay of Islands, and reports taking 200 barrels of sperm oil since leaving m December. The captain reports p'enty of whales, but the wetther was not favorable. The total private bequests of Mr Oostello only amount to £3900, so that the balance of the immense estate, valued at £135,000, goes to charities. Several bequests are to be called the Costello Bequests . Timaru, April 20. A lad named Thomas Kewell was today committed for trial at the Supreme Court for placing stones on the railway line at St. Andrews.
