Awahuri Stock Sale
Metfsrs - jStevehs & Gorton had a capital sale of stock at tbeir Awahuri yards 'yesterday, bidding being brisk, and prices showing a tendency to advance. 120 Lead of cattle and over 1000 sheep were yarded. The following are among the prices that were realized : -— 2£ steers, £3 15s to £4 ; store cows, £2 10s to £8; weanef3, £1 to£2 ; 18---l months mixed/ £2 15s ; sheep, store * irettiersfSs v-good I^ ewes, m lamb, 135.; fat sheep, 12s; lambs m wool, Bs. : ;
