Waste Lands Board.
The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Waste Landa Board was held at noon on Thursday, there being present Messrs G. Holds worth (Chairman and/ (Commissioner), T. Mason, W. W. Taylor, G-. Beetbam, sn.i H. Bunny. TheGhairraan submitted 117, showing that there had been applied for since the last meeting: 414a lr Bp, at an upset; price of £681 14s, the payments received amounting to £223 2s lOd. Of tibe. above, 321a lr 8p were on deferred payments, £24 2srlod being paid on deposit *, 199 acres, of the value of £199, were paid for m scrip. The Chahman brought under the notice of the Board the question of Mr J; L. Bacons's selection at Bunny thorpe, made under the Immigrants Land Act, 1873. Mr Bacon attended, and produced documentary evidence to show that he. had carried out required imn provements. It was resolved that the resolution passed on the subject at the last meeting be rescinded, and that for the preaent no further action be taken. The Chairman reported that: he was at present unable to place before the Board a, .complete schedule ot lands to be submitted at the next auction sale, owing to plans not heing^ ready ».-■.-
