' The annualvreporb of the Australian; Mutual Provident Society for last year shows that the new business was larger than that bf any previous year. ■: It comprised 6,400 policies, for assurances to £2,280,000. The new gremiums amounted to . £92,500. The accumulated fund has been increased by £520,000, and now stands £4,350,000. The total annual revenue is now £885, : 000. The receipts from interest exceed the amounts paid for death claims by £68,000. The seventh quinquennial .division of the. surplus will be made up to the end of the year, and hereafter the profit will be divided annually.
