♦ — : At a meeting of the ! Manawatu Acclimatization Society, held on Thursd>y last* it was resolved to recommend to the Colonial Secretary ..that thesbnotin? senson for nativegame and tarts should open on the Ist of April, and close on the 1 5th August. That the season for shootinar pheasants, partridge, and qus.il, should open on the Ist as May, and close on the 15th August, bat that only cock pheasants should be shot, m consequence of ttipslow increase of pheasants. This will probably be gazetted m due conrse. Members' subscriptions of 10s for the year 1883, are now due, and may be forwarded to J. Linton, Esq , or to the, Secretary; H. J. Lloyd, Esq. . The funds of the Society are sufficient it well supported by subscriptions this winter, to introduce a large quantity of fish into the rirers and lagoous of the County next spring. !
