LEASE OP FOXTUN- FERRY. : ; -• By advertisement elsewhere it will bft seen that the Manawatu County Coun«, eil is inviting tenders for the lease of the Foxton ferry from April Ist m the; present year to March 31st next year; Specificatiohs may be 'seen at the. County office, Foxton. . Tenders are to -be sent m not latter than 12 o'clocknoon of to-morrow, March 6th, ? marked " Tender for F6xbok Ferry." The usual contingency is provided for by a clause to the effect that the highest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. We should not be surprised •; if there were several fenders at good figures sent m, as it : is affirmed that, 'proper ly and economically worked, the ferry is capable of returning a very substantial annual income. Mr MeCullocb, the clerk of the Council, will afford intending tenderers all necessary information on application.
